Does anyone know what the quickest and fastest naturally aspirated traditional Pontiac is? Doorslammer.

I am sure there are plently that claim to be. Wonder what it is.

Scott Rex runs 7.90's at least in the 1/4 with a 4th gen Firebird.

What cubic inches and combination does he run in his Firebird? 7.90's is movin'!!

He has gotten it down to 7.44 @ 186 now.

IA2 block, Tiger heads, sheetmetal with two dominators, 540 CID maybe?

Not for sure.
Most fast guys anymore use aluminum heads.

There are a few who have gone low 9's with cast iron parts.

We have dipped in the high 9's with factory parts in both our 1965 Tempest and 1963 Tempest. We ran a 428 with 7F6 H.O. heads in the '65 and ran in the 9's very consistently. No radical parts either. It killed the chevy guys.

Most cars seem to run either the Edelbrock aluminum heads or Wenzler heads from what I have seen too. The Norwalk event will probably bring out the top guns as always.
