1969 Tempest Custom S - how many left are there?

I recently purchased MY dream car - a 1969 Custom S - 350/2-barrel, 350 trans.
Is there a way to see how many are left out there running - perhaps in the Metro-Detroit area? Probably a long shot question, but I had to ask.

The first thing one needs to know is what body style your new car is. You can check the data tag on the firewall for that. Send us the info if you need it decoded.
They were not low production models, though you seldom see them today.

There is no way to ever determine how many might be around any longer. In the hobby it is a rule of thumb called "the 10% rule." Just a made-up ballpark guess, based on pretty much no data other than observations. So, take a guess and 10% probably wouldn't be too far off.

On another note, I (PontiacRegistry chief) have a '69 Custom S wagon. However, I took the "Custom" part to an entirely new level. A 35-year project that I resurrected a few years ago to finish. Ready for finished paint very soon (satin black, of course). Check the photo.
