So now I have removed and began long term cleaning and inspection of my 347
Without much deliberation I have concluded that the intake manifold is pitted, has a canyon running thru it, and has stalagmights barely holding on. the mounting studs are eroded to the point of pencil lead thickness.
I inquire to info on aftermarket intakes, who has had good buisness with which intake? Did you keep the same carb? I beleive by the time I have this one fixed , Probaly spend around the same amount of $$, or more rather than obtain a aftermarket Hopefully retaining the 2 barrel,
Thanks

I assume by mounting studs you mean the carb studs, right? Those can be a problem getting out, redrilling, tapping, etc. But it can be done. Perhaps at a machine shop if you can't tackle it.

If there is a lot of pitting and "canyon" inside (assume you mean inside), sand blasting should fix that and any pits (and canyon?) shouldn't hurt the air flow as it's not exactly a high performance engine.

Otherwise, there are manifolds listed on ebay in the $50+ range. Naturally the condition must be checked and shipping can be a bear. I have shipped manifolds UPS and that can cost as much or more than the manifold cost.

Any "new" manifolds all seem to be performance items and at least a 4-bbl.
