I have a '55 2 door hardtop Star Chief Custom Catalina. When I purchased it the jack and tools were in a bag in the trunk. Does anyone have info and/or photos on how the jack and tools are mounted in the truck? Thanks in advance, Terry.

I wonder if these tools were actually "mounted" as in the newer cars.

Try dropping an e-mail to Rick DiGiacomo in Rhode Island who has a beautiful car just like yours. He should be able to help: frdigi@cox.net

Be sure to tell him Larry at PontiacRegistry.com sent you.

The following was sent by Rick (see reference above):

Regarding the jack – It belongs on the left side of the spare and is held in place by a spring. There are a couple of hooks molded to the floor that hold the spring around the jack stand

There is a bolt that goes through the tire and held in place by the jack stand.
