Hi Guys,

My name is Dan and I am in the UK (unfortunately)
I own a 1974 Pontiac trans am 455 which I have spent 2 years restoring
The car means a lot to me because it belonged to my uncle (now deceased)14 years ago
The car turned up on ebay and had been stored in a barn in Dublin southern Ireland
I lost the car 3 times on ebay before the seller contacted me and said the buyer had not turned up and I could have the car if I still wanted it
I jumped at the chance and arranged delivery
The car arrived in a sorry state totally rotten and the engine full of water
After two years of hardwork and a good friends help she is back on the road with a few modifications and I love her.
I was wondering if anybody could give me any information on the car
perhaps first registered keeper vin number 2v87y4n154542
imported to the UK in 1979
Any information would be great
Many thanks Dan

What a story. Glad for the happy ending.

Sadly PHS (Pontiac Historic Services) will not be able to give you the name of the original owner... a privacy issue. When their service was free many years ago, people would order request after request hoping that on one of them the people would forget to black out the original owner's name and info. I don't even know if they leave information like the owner's city or state on what they send. Still it would be worth having to verify the options, etc.
