Does any body know if there is a paint code number,for the shade of silver Pontiac used on the grills. Mine need to be restored,thay are in excellent shape, just need paint.

Although I didn't fin d any specific reference to '71, I did see a LOT of forum discussions of grille colors that kept popping up with Argent Silver.

That sounds so familiar. Is that one of the Ralley II wheel silvers? Might want to do some checking on that color. Perhaps calling around to who offers it to see if they have a list of application. Sort of reverse engineering it.

Thanks Larry, David Ross I got his name and email address, from this site. He thought it was Nordic silver, I'll do some more research.

David knows his stuff when it comes to Pontiac paints. I checked and the Argent is the silver for the wheels. Might be the same, but if you can, check what David suggests. Please let us know what you find out so others can do as you, but with far less work.

I discovered while painting other wheels some years ago that the silver paints from the auto parts stores are all over the place color-wise. Good luck.
