Hello everyone. I'm working on a friends 55 Pontiac that was disassembled by a previous shop for paint and interior work. They returned the car to the owner half put back together and have closed shop and moved out of state. Anyway I'm having problems with the horn ring, specifically how it goes together on the wheel so the horn will work. I think some parts may be missing internally that insulate the ring from contacting the shaft, when I put it together the horn blows constantly. Can someone help with a diagram of the column assembly? I have a 55 Pontiac shop manual but it covers mechanical mostly and not much info on the column. Any info would be appreciated.
