Brakes done! good pedal, no leaks,awaiting road test,,,,needs to run first! cleaned timing mark hoping to use a timing light to set it! _________________ |

Good news with the brakes. be sure to pump them a good number of times in the driveway before setting out on the road. I have found with my '40 and a couple '54s that the old, original brake system works just fine. Never seemed to be wanting like you hear in all the reports today. They actually worked very well.
Never have been able to fine that timing cover on the bellhousing you had mentioned previously. Don't see anyone making one either. Is that the only place to time from? I have seen it indicated for timing on the flywheel before on other cars, but it usually also had the ability to do the same on the harmonic balancer.
