Are you looking for what "kind" of wood to use, or actually body wood already made and ready to install? If so, that's a tough order to fill.
I have never found anyone able to pull a Pontiac wood kit (or even part) off of a shelf. There are, however, lots of places who advertise that they can/will make any part or parts needed. Obviously they need a good sample part to work from (even if rotted, at least good enough to see what it should be). Check a place like http://autowood.net/
Most people restoring a car with wood that needs replacement will try to find a local old craftsman carpenter, millwright, or cabinet maker to help them. Or, some invest in some wood working tools and begin to learn a new trade. They often make a few pieces of each and make money selling their duplicates. _________________ PontiacRegistry.com... building the single largest source of Pontiac information, services, and entertainment in the world! |
