Solstice Coupe Production

There have been some questions about how many Solstice coupes were produced. We found the information below from a very reliable source.

There were a total of 1,266 Solstice Coupes that were able to be manufactured before the production line in Wilmington, Delaware was shut down.

There were 102 pre-production 2009 models; 1,152 sequentially VIN'd regular production 2009 models; and 12 pre-production 2010 models.

There was a discussion going on between some Pontiac Club Chapter members (I think from Arizona). One of the fellows introduced himself with a lot of good Solstice information. I did not wish to put his name out there, but wished to pass on his information. I would have to do some hunting to try to find him again... I hear from hundreds of people on many days. However, if anyone wishes to confirm or refute his numbers, we're open to any further input.

We don't usually put things up without some more research, but I didn't want to loose the snippet of info (it was in an e-mail message). But I do know the person has a lot of Solstice knowledge and do consider him to not be careless with his facts and figures.
