Hello to all,
Just trying the site, and so far it has been great. Terrific amount of information and I'm looking forward to getting into it as time permits. Work keeps getting in the way!
Been a GTO guy for a long time & have a 1964 that I'm working on. Also just bought a 61 Cat Bubbletop. Needs lots of work, but it is a solid car.

Now you're just showing off!

Two of the most collectable, sought after Pontiacs of all time... and you have both of them! Lucky you!

Obviously we all know the ga-ga factor of a '64 (first) GTO. A part of car making history. But the '61 Catalina bubbletops are probably still a bit unknown to many hobbyists. The big news is, however, that anyone who does know about them would give his or her two front teeth for one. Amazingly beautiful cars, and skyrocketing in price.

Good luck with both projects. Please keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for the reply! Like I said, I've been a Pontiac guy for a long time. I turned 16 years old in 1964, just in time to want a GTO so bad I could taste it back then.
Since then I've old several of the goats, but the '64 is still my favorite.

Mine is not numbers matching. Has a '67 400ci with 3 twos and a four speed. Solid old car, though. Putting it back together as time permits, but it has been s slow go. Hope to retire to my garage soon and really have some fun with the pontiacs.

Now, I just happened up on the '61 cat and couldn't resist the urge because it was a good buy. It is a true barn find that came out of Hickory, N.C. Everything on it is original, down to the paint. Has a 389, 2barrel with the SlimJim automatic (ugh!). Might become a 4 speed before long, though (hopefully). I'll try to post some pics when I can.
