These shots are what makes a Pontiac race fans blood run hot- the historic days of Pure Pontiac Power when nobody, and no records were safe as long as the Pontiac boys showed up.

To a certain extent these Pontiac record-setting days at the drag strips continue today. But it just isn't the same when you can't tell one manufacturer's car from the other, and when the Pontiac engines are all "corporate".

No matter what anyone says, the good old days were just that, GOOD! At least for the Pontiac race fans.
